Q: What crops do you grow at Bates?
In the early years, walnut trees filled the front acreage of our farm and we got our start in this nutty business by growing, processing and selling walnuts. While we no longer grow any nuts, we continue to roast and sell many different types from all over the world in our retail store and other locations.
Today our only crop is pumpkins, gourds and squash. We plant several different varieties, beginning in June of each year.
