Event: American Cancer Society's Relay For Life

Description: Relay For Life returns to Bates Nut Farm to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Several teams will participate in this overnight community fundraising walk and will camp out around the track. Team members will take turns walking over the course of the 24 hours. Food, games and activities including a silent auction provide entertainment and raise cancer awareness throughout the event. A special Luminaria ceremony honoring survivors and loved ones who lost the battle will take place Saturday evening. The relay begins Saturday morning at 9:00 and continues until 9:00 the following morning. Learn more at www.relayforlife.org .

Sherrie Bates Ness says, "All of us have been touched by cancer in some way or another. Maybe you have been touched, or know of a friend or family member who has. Relay for Life supports the efforts to fight this disease through research, but also supports those in need of resources while fighting this deadly disease. I would love for you to join our 'Nuts for the Cure' team and sign up for a time to walk sometime during the 24 hour event."
