Description: Del Mar Kiwanis Club and San Diego Coastal Chamber of Commerce invite you to the 19th annual Ugly Dog Contest at Bates Nut Farm. So you think your dog is too cute to enter? There are several other categories, such as Best St. Patrick's Day Costume, Cutest Puppy, Dog Who Looks Most Like its Owner and Best Trick. Bates Nut Farm started with walnuts, but now purchases nuts from all over the world. Pistachios, pecans, cashews, peanuts, pignolias, sunflower seeds and much more can be purchased on the farm. The nuts come raw, roasted, some spiced up and unsalted. To ensure quality and freshness we roast and package our nuts on the farm.
