Description: The BBQ contest is a Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) sanctioned event. It will showcase nearly 60 of the top BBQ teams around, all vying for the California State Championship along with cash prizes. Held in conjunction with the VC Music Festival, BBQ teams will compete in 4 categories: Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork, and Brisket. The "Taste of BBQ" gives spectators the opportunity to taste some of the delicious entries for a small charge.

Plan on spending the day with your family at Bates! Great music paired with some of the best BBQ around is the perfect way to spend a Saturday.
