Bates Nut Farm and Farmer's Daughter will also be doing a bit of spring cleaning during yard sale hours of 7:30-12:30. All taxable items in both stores are 20% off during those hours. That means everything at Farmer's Daughter, and all gift, home decor, garden and more at Bates. Take advantage of the this special! Bates encourages you to donate your treasures to the Inland North County Assistance League to sell in their gift shop. Their truck will be at Bates to accept your donations the day of the yard sale. The Assistance League Thrift Store is located on Valley Parkway at Midway in Escondido. Assistance League supports the community in a variety of ways, such as providing clothing to over 2000 needy inland north county children in 2012. This organization is run by volunteers.
Bates Nut Farm started with walnuts, but now purchases nuts from all over the world. Pistachios, pecans, cashews, peanuts, pignolias, sunflower seeds and much more can be purchased on the farm. The nuts come raw, roasted, some spiced up and unsalted. To ensure quality and freshness we roast and package our nuts on the farm. The Bates family takes pride in providing a quality product at a fair price. It’s part of the tradition.
